While running my smoothieboard, I get a temperature around 130 Celsius near VBB input. Is this normal/safe?
I’m a new user and can’t post the thermal image; if there is a way to add it I will add it!

No it’s not normal at all. Where exactly do you get that ? Does the board otherwise function normally ?
Yes the board functions well. It happens right between the VBB plug and the 5v regulator. I should also mention I’m running at 24v
Problem resolved. Going from 24v to 5v with that regulator creates a lot of heat. Just 140mA that the logic board requires creates P=V*I=(24v-5v)*0.140=133C temperature. I’m just going to power the logic board off a high quality USB cable.
