Boeing Uses First FAA-Approved 3D-Printed Parts for the 787
It is a BITCH to machine titanium alloys.
Mostly because you end up throwing most of the titanium in the scrap bin.
Those parts look to me as though they could use a clean up pass to me, but hey, what works, works.
