BOO Windows updated and now repetier host crashes after loading up. GAH! Anyone here experiencing this??

Windows 7? (Judging by the task bar.)
I’m running Win7 on my netbook (Asus Eee, 2GB RAM) and haven’t had any problems as of yesterday. I’ll post again if I have any trouble or find a fix.

Win 8.1

Ah, My Win8.1 machine isn’t in my printing setup. I’ll try running R-H disconnected and see how it goes.

EDIT: wouldn’t even install on my Win8.1 test laptop.

lol yes I’ve been printing with this for three weeks now and one update screwed the pooch

Try reinstalling the printer drivers, for some reason 8.1 kills no stock drivers… I have had to do this on a couple of programs…

Repetier Host runs fine here von Win8.1 though i don’t use it on windows very often. Shouldn’t be a basic Repetier Host problem.

Using closed source bloatware OS to enjoy freedom of 3d printing, an abomination. Just kidding, this is a part of the windows-experience, enjoy.

Ha yes I just reinstalled it and then it was working again. Stupid.

The update to 8.1 changes alot of the programs… some times they break.

I got a chromebook pixel =] but it prob doesn’t run the program your using…can’t wait till it gets bigger and catches on

Chromebooks don’t run any program, they’re just running Chrome OS, which is all in the browser, right? So no real computer

There’s options that exist to operate via a web browser and an ardruino so yes, chromebooks are totally possible. Not ideal for a first time printer though.

true! lol

you can yet start and manage printing via the webbrowser (for example with Repetier Server) but you won’t yet be able to slice from the browser which would make that all a littl problem. Yet i know there’s something in development to also slice with the server but that would all still want to have you another computer to run the server on - so no real solution.

This is a part of the “Microsoft experience”, enjoy.

He he yea. Found out that if I just minimize the “force crash error” message than I can operate RH fine. Bugs me though.
