Bought a cheap Anet A8,

Bought a cheap Anet A8, because I enjoy assembling things and would like to see how I like 3d printing… If I enjoy it enough and as I learn, I plan to upgrade it continuously.

You have a PRUSA i3 clone. These are esentially bulletproof and just work. The only issue you might have is sometimes the person in China doing the motor wiring gets a wire in the wrong order at a connector. Double check that all motors have the same wiring color code at the connectors. Can’t think of any other issues you might run into.

I can think of many. The frame is made from Acrylic, be careful to not tighten the screws to hard against it or it will crack quite badly.

The control board also has issues with its heated bed MOSFET which can cause fires. It’s best to use an external MOSFET.

The heated bed connector is also way underrated for the current going through it. It’s very common for it to burn up.

It might sound like the thing is a fire hazard, which is honestly somewhat true.

@Griffin_Paquette I have a mosfet for the heat bed, plan on soldering wires directly to the bed and will install on off switch at power supply. At some point will upgrade psu and frame. thanks for your input.

Sounds like you have it covered:-) they are great little machines for the money!
