Bought an inductive sensor from printrbot for autoleveling. The problem is a detecting distance. It declared 4mm, but it doesn’t detect my alu heatbed behind 3mm borosilicate glass. I guess there is another solution. Is anyone succeed with it? Currently I am thinking of buying another sensor with greater distance.

An aluminum target will be much less detectable. The data sheets on those sensors generally measure the distance of a ferrous target.
You could try a thin sheet of a ferrous metal or even fine ferrous powder between the plates.
Thank you for suggestions.
The problem solved by removing plastic from the sensor bottom with rasp. It is possible to remove about 1mm. It works now.
if you have a glass surface go for a capacitive sensor
replace your glass with 3mm ally? just made the switch my self, pretty happy with it
