Building a Deltaprintr is easy

I look forward to his next video “Why the heck did I start with a Delta printer?” Nice kit, congrats on getting stuff shipped.

Holy crap man. The amount that machine wobbles when he simply puts his hand on the top. O_o

I feel like a lot of that rigidity in the T-slot is lost by being paired up with laser cut pieces.

It will wobble a bit since it is wood and he’s putting his hands on it, but the print quality isn’t impaired while printing. We also downsized the model we sell on our site so they don’t wobble at all.

Nice video! Its so much easier to spool up with the Cerberus style vertical spools instead of having them hidden between the horizontal frame pieces!

@Shai_Schechter , also if you mount the hot end up more you can gain about 1cm or so of additional vertical space without losing anything.

May look into doing things the way @Billy does them. 90 degree T-slot corners bolted to a triangle center.

@ThantiK Yeah I know we can gain space that way, but I have to say, I am not a big fan of the platform being so close to the bed on the first layer that it’s practically impossible to see how the first layer is progressing. I think having it more open serves a better purpose to seeing how well the print is coming along.
