Can any one weight in on some hot ends for my prusa i3 build?
I’m thinking I want some thing with interchangeable nozzles. Do you change yours very often or not at all?
What size hole is every one running?

We’ve got machines at my hackerspace with interchangeable nozzles, and we pretty much never actually change them. Only thing the detachable nozzle has been good for is cleaning things out when someone puts cheapy low quality filament through it and it ends up clogged.
I’m running a 0.35mm right now, though I kinda miss my 0.5 because it could pump parts out very quickly. I don’t do many artistic prints.
What’s the quality difference between .35 and .5
It’s really hard to quantify. You get sharper corners. If you do artistic prints, you can get a bit finer detail. But you’re limited by the layer heights you can use. You have to be typically <80% of nozzle width, meaning 0.28mm layers or lower for my 0.35mm nozzle – ends up meaning a lot more print time.
Interesting info I will have to see if I can find some comparison pics. Though it sounds like the removable is nice just for cleaning if needed.
