Can anyone explain these Cura settings?
I am trawling through Cura’s fdmprinter.json settings file in an attempt to generate a version for the Mendel90 and have come across two machine settings that are unfamiliar to me i.e.:
machine_nozzle_head_distance
machine_nozzle_expansion_angle
Can anyone advise on suitable values for a J-Head Mk. Vb as used in the Mendel90 standard kit.
Sounds like the dimensions you need to determine when a toolhead or nozzle could tip over an object when printing serveral, small objects one after the other.
…but that’s just guessing.
Maybe @Ultimaker can help you with that question.
@Marcus_Wolschon Those are specified elsewhere. I think these relate to hotend specifications.
Those are for determining that shape of the nozzle so that cura knows what areas to avoid during wireframe printing.
