Can anyone explain this to me. I created my object on tinkercad. Saved it in my computer. I repaired it in netfab. When I print in my 3d printer it says the object is done which is not finished. I am using Makerbot software for that and I also using the simplify3d software and no luck. I get the raft and two layers of my object. I don’t understand.
It would help if you posted pictures and the model itself. I’m going to guess that the model is still broken somehow, but without seeing it there is no way for me to know for sure.
You shouldn’t need to repair Tinkercad objects in netfabb…Tinkercad does a good job in most cases?
Did you import an STL into Tinkercad, make changes then export for printing? I’ve never had issues with things I’ve made in TC but I’ve had lots of issues repairing things I’ve imported to TC, modified and then exported (the original STL has no issues).
And the issue you just described sounds like what I see in pronterface as the preview of one of the broken files after this happens.
I just posted pictures and its a Makerbot 2x.
No I did not import the item to tinkercad. I made it from scratch.
Try combining the shapes in Tinkercad and then export STL. It needs to be merged to a single object. Individual shapes that make up a part need to be manifold in order slice and print properly.
Noe it is combine.
Thats good to know. Think the nozzle stops extruding once it gets to the text part. Try printing again and watch the extrusion when it gets to that part and see what happens.
