can anyone provide me with the keywords necessary to figure out what process is used to make 3D models like these? I’ve tried “organic”, “porous”, and a couple of others. I’m just wondering if there is a tool like Meshmixer that can post-process a solid model to give it a random porous look.

A quick search on “voronoi 3d” found this:

@Alan_Thomason wow, very cool, thank you!
@Dave_M Not a problem, sometimes the right keyword is all you need.
In the instructable comments, there’s a great site called http://voronator.com that does a great job on small parts!
Meshmixer does a good job of making voronoi versions of solids, but the documentation isn’t great. I struggled quite a bit in trying to get a decent workflow together for producing voronoi meshes from surfaces.
