Can anyone recommend a reliable cheaper source to buy Natural ABS 1kg Spool 1.75mm

Can anyone recommend a reliable cheaper source to buy Natural ABS 1kg Spool 1.75mm / 1.8mm filament for Makerbot Replicator 2X? I can’t believe Makebot still sells it at $43 per spool. I’ve heard people talk about Monoprice here but I’m curious if their ABS filament is reliable (i. e. doesn’t break or tangle, clog up extruder).

Any advice is truly appreciated!!

There’s a lot less difference between good/bad ABS than good/bad PLA, but the Prototype Supply filament from Toybuilder Labs is the most reliable I’ve ever used. Highly recommended.

http://www.coex3d.com is pretty great @Coex3D as well as IC3D

I second @Whosa_whatsis on the Prototype Supply from Toybuilder Labs. I have gone through about 5kg of their filament of various colors and always consistent and smooth. I buy it from Amazon and it’s usually here the next day or so. Got 4 more in the mail now.

@Collin_Schairer I have been through 4 spools of push plastic abs. The diameter consistency is good, and it really prints well. Only gripe I have is the red could be more vibrant.

http://www.3dxtech.com/ has good MG94 ABS filament.

@Andre_Mercado 3dx and push plastic have the same names for filament and descriptions. Seems odd.

@Eclsnowman given that some of those names actually include the 3dx brand, I’d assume that that’s because push plastic is a a reseller of 3dx’s products.

Weird that push plastics is cheaper on some.

I use IC3D. However, I use 3mm and have not tried natural yet. I have had really good results with their red and black ABS.

Another vote for pushplastic, I bought 6 spools of PLA from them and all are really good.

Thanks guys. Looks like Toybuilder Labs ABS is a good cheaper alternative to MakerBot’s ABS, $10 cheaper per 1kg spool.

Thanks again!
