For what country are you looking to purchase? Providing geographical info can help provide a more accurate answer. I’m guessing you are looking to buy from within the UK. But I could be wrong.

Also important is how you define “entry”. All estimates in USD.

  • new to market? - there are lots of vaporware printers for $200-400 that may or may not deliver this year

  • a first printer for someone who likes to tinker and explore? - Printrbot Simple’s start at $350, there are RepRap kits for $500+

  • a non-tinkerer who wants plug-n-play? I’m not sure, but I’d doubt you could find something under $1000 - even assembled Simples (at $599) will require some level of fussing / tuning before you can click print and walk away (ie: you need to download and configure software that works with may different models - not hard, but not really “plug-n-play”).

I would say the range for an entry level printer is ~100 to $10,000

UK prices? RS components sell the RepRap Ormerod for £499 supposedly easy to assemble. for something more involved RepRapPro Mono Mendel kit £420. fully assembled stuff more the £800-£1000 range
