Can anyone tell me if the MKS OLED worksnwoth Smoothie? I hear that it can and connects the same way and would be perfectnfor my Mini Kossel. Here’s an example link: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/3D-printer-Reprap-Ramps1-4-MKS-12864OLED-0-96inch-mini-display-smart-controller-with-cable/32587572611.html?spm=2114.01010208.3.2.AGeF9P&ws_ab_test=searchweb201556_0,searchweb201602_5_10057_10056_10055_10037_10049_10033_10059_10058_10032_10017_405_404_10040_10060_10061_412,searchweb201603_6&btsid=8d53f8c1-802f-4eea-ad01-61cd7122eec0
not specifically supported unless this page it out of date (would love to be corrected on this): http://smoothieware.org/panel
It’s SPI though, so I imagine it wouldn’t be a difficult thing to add, especially if they’re using a library like u8glib that already supports the 1306 OLED controller. If not, it would probably be easier to add support via their universal panel adapter: https://github.com/wolfmanjm/universal-panel-adapter
Grumble grumble…i might spend the $20 and try it
In mu case, it’s a small-ish printer, and really the printer also has a RasPi running OctoPrint, but the idea is to have multiple options.
In this view samer check if nextion hmi are compatible…
Seems it would do fine for a RasPi. So I could, I suppose just keep the OctoPrint rig and skip the controller… Nothing I can see specific to the display unless it falls in the 'universal; category.
