Can i repair broke tube?

when laser arrived, the tube was not well fixed, and one side broke during transport. it is possible to fix it . 129117236_2840933869497505_5488814198918090872_n

I have heard of some folks that fixed a broken tube end that fell off but I do not know about a water jacket break. If the mirror is not damaged and you can get a repair that does not leak you might be ok.

Can’t hurt to try.

@NedMan can provide the best adhesive advice but I would try epoxy, thick CA would work but I would worry about heat deteriorating the bond… then again I don’t think the water jacket gets that hot.

You probably should remove the tube to get good access to that end.

You should try and get a replacement from the seller.

Hmmm…is that a 90 degree glass coupler that broke? It looks like what broke isn’t attached to the acutual laser tube?

If that’s the case, just buy a 90 degree barbed tubing coupler. Doesn’t have to be glass.

I think it’s broke down at the heads water jacket?

Ahh yeah I see it now. That’s a toughie. You could try some epoxy, but I would check with the seller first like Don said.

Personally I would be hesitant trying to do such a repair unless it was an actual fused glass repair. I would be worried about the repair joint failing and dumping a bunch of water into the machine.

I would ask the seller for either a refund (not great if they want you to ship it back at your expense) or some kind of compensation.

However, if that gets nowhere, then I would try just bypassing the coupler and putting the long rubber hose where the short one is–just be extra careful to not break the glass taking the small piece off or putting the longer piece on (disclaimer: unless I am completely misunderstanding it from the picture).

Good luck!

thank you for the answers and advice
i am already ask seller for replacement. and i have another question on my other k40 .this laser can cut 3 mm plywood with 30 percent power , i think its not ok. also when the laser cuts the cooling liquid is under an electric voltage. what could be wrong ?

I suggest you start another thread for this problem.
