Can someone recommend electronics for a new Rostock #3DPrinter. Do you have experience with this model: http://www.sainstore.de/sainsmart-ramps-1-4-a4988-mega2560-r3-endstop-cooler-fan-kit-for-reprap-3d-printer.html ?
A recommendation for a good source for the rods, screws, etc. in germany/europe would be also nice!
Thanks!

I ordered the Melzi board from them. I had to solder MS1-3 on each stepper drive to get micro-steeping working… YMMV.

@Christopher_Alm why wouldn’t you have just jumpered the board…with jumpers?

Sainsmart’s stuff is awesome, and I’ve never had a problem with it except for the aforementioned lack of jumpers with the board. That kit is a good one.

There were no pins to jumper, just unsoldered pads. Not a big deal to me, but for others without access to a soldering station, I think it might be. All in all I think the build quality of the board is good. It just might require a little work to make it great…

So, @ThantiK , @Christopher_Alm , you would recommend it? I’m looking especially for a #DeltaPrinter

I think my next purchase will be an Azteeg X3 or Rumba board.

@Anton_G there’s nothing about a delta printer which needs special electronics.

I’ve been told that upgrading the RAMbo to a Smoothie will help. Any knowledge on this?
