I have tried a great deal of things to get my smotthiboard to work, but can’t seem make that happen. Computer recognizes it, 12v. goes in from PSU, config should be good. Fourth LED will not, however, light up no matter what I do and the board does not speak to the printer.

I have made a little bit of progress and might have an idea about my problem: I changed sd card and have gotten the 4th
LED to tell me things are ok. Now I need to make sure my config is correct and therein lies my next problem: I am trying to run the smoothieboard from a Windows tablet via the USB connection and don’t know how to write that into the configuration files. I just upgraded to W10 as well in case that makes a difference. I shall check the smoothie files again to see if there are instructions there that I missed but any help would be appreciated. I can utilize Repetier, Simplify3D or Pronterface if one of those is better than another. TIA!

Indeed, LED4 OFF means there is a problem with the SD card.
About Windows 10, I don’t think the current driver is compatible with it ( windows broke backwards compatibility if I understand correctly ). Windows 10 is very recent, you really should use something more mature.
