Needs more cowbell!

What type of LEDs did you use???

They are LPD8806 LEDs.

Thanks for your response…

I am working on something similar, but not remote controlled.

I am using 8806s aswell, but yours appear to be wired so that each pixel is individually controlled… Mine has it so that every three is controlled… Where did you get yours from, as I think all the ones on aliexpress are wired like mine…

Also, if you would be willing to post the code, especially for the twinkling red and green id really appreciate it.

Finally, in the section where the individual lines go accross the strip, do the speed up? How did you get the pixels to move?

I am using arrays and shifting the arrays but it takes a lot of memory… And I can’t get the arrays to change speed like it appears you are doing.

Also, how did you mount your strips ?

Thanks!

@Mr_Happy I bet your strips are 12v, and I bet that his are 5v. In the video he says he got them from Adafruit and they only sell 5v strips.

Mr Happy, the strips are 5v and I bought them from Adafruit. The speed of the pixels moving across the strip is constant - I think it just looks like they speed up because of the perspective. But it wouldn’t be hard to make them speed up if that is what you are looking to do. I would be happy to share the code. How is the best way to do that?

Could you upload them somewhere and then post the link? Or you could email them to me mgilc003@odu.edu

Thanks!

Hello Eric,

I’m still interested in looking at your code. I think i figured out an easier way. Just post it to paste bin, like i did with my code.
