Check out this awesome looking 3D printed flying wing by folks at the University of Sheffield. It’s not Open Source Hardware but still really neat to see how others are using 3D printing. Their ducted fans are blended into the body!

I think warping is too much of an issue for this construction method to be printed on my desktop printer. That said, they used an FDM printer.

What slicer software do you use and do you have a heated bed and am enclosed printer? I found using kisslicer (it’s support and wall thickness settings are great… I don’t think I have used more than one loop for the shell since I started with kisslicer), a heated bed an enclosed printer and also printing onto a cheap mirror painted with abs juice, has completely removed my warping issues

I have neither a heated print bed nor a heated enclosure. A heated enclosure would be ideal for such large parts. This construction technique will also be heavier.
