Checking in for ideas on alternatives for printed F1 tires. I have a bowden’s extruder and printing flex is out of the question it seems. Wanted to see if anyone has since run across any off the shelf tires or tried any other techniques to get tires for this model.
It is possible to print ninjaflex on a Bowden setup as you can see here:
but you need a good (and a bit expensive) extruder
Try Tamiya f103 tires. They may fit the tire stl. files.
I used f104 tires, but my car also had f104 wheels and front axle.
My extruder was £5 from China and its printing excelvan flexib OK just need to add about 1cm of Bowden tube inside where the brass push connector goes into the extruder to stop it kinking up
