Ciclop 3d Scanner 16018 bearing

I also printed the scan plate, you weren’t expecting me to be to cheap to buy a bearing and not the acrylic plate.

Nice

@Michael_Scholtz Tried printing the plate with abs but came out warped, in the end I cut a circle out of a piece of plywood I had lying around and sprayed it black. The plate didn’t go to waste, used it as a guide for drilling the 3 holes!

I’ve done the plate in pla and have the design I’ll add it to the bearing. I’m waiting for the line lasers to be delivered so I’m looking at everything. My stepper motor is quite small and seem to jerk when moving the plate and also 1.8 deg per step isn’t what I would call ideal. So I’ve designed a gear that slides around the outside of the bearing holder and a drive gear for the motor. I’m now doing a mount that holds it on 2 of the threaded rods so it can be adjusted. It should take is from 200 steps per revolution to 2400 steps per revolution. I’ll post it when done.

and in case you where wondering I do actually have a life.

I have this on my list of things to make. Keep posting updates.

Great print @Michael_Scholtz
