Classic tree lights + LED accents
My daughter and I had a ‘discussion’ about whether to decorate our tree with classic old-fashioned incandescent fairy lights (which we both love equally), or “dad-style” programmed LEDs (which are… unequally loved). Our solution: use both together!
Our tree has 200 classic incandescent fairy lights and 100 WS2811 LED pixels. The LEDs are actually mostly “off”, only ‘twinkling’ every now and then. I did my best to match the RGB LED color to the incandescent bulbs. I think the effect is subtle, but nice!
