config or firmware or board problem

Hi all!

I have strange problem which I can not resolve myself :frowning:
Smoothie does’t want to start after firmware upgrade. It looks like smoothie does’t read config file. Ok let’s start from the begining:
1 I downloaded firmware.bin from smoothe site (stable version)
2. I modified config file.
3. Both files are on sd card.
After starting smoothie firmware.bin change to firmware.bck. From this moment computer does’t recognize smoothieboard. I have tried difrent config configurations but all fialed - all the time there is the same problem.
SD card is OK - the old config and old firmware works fine on this card.
I can add that I have old prototype version of smoothieboard which I bought before kickstarter campain - can it be the problem?

Best,
Martin

Hello.

Can you try with a fresh configuration file from : https://github.com/Smoothieware/Smoothieware/blob/edge/ConfigSamples/Smoothieboard/config
Without modifying it at all.

Thanks.

I tried but unfortunately nothing changed, situation still the same :frowning:

Ok can you tell me what the 6 LEDs on the board ( the row of 6 ) are doing ?

After inserting SD with new firmware only one LED in on (second from left) and nothing changed.
I’m lucky I kept my old stable firmware  and can still print

Hey.

Can you email me the firmware file to wolf.arthur@gmail.com ?
The new one.

Cheers

Any news or ideas what to do in this case?

Main problem with fan was solved by changing config file.
Thanks for help!
