Connecting RepRapDiscount Panel

Well, what I thought would be an easy task to add the RepRapDiscount Panel is kicking my butt…

I have made the required changes to my config file, hooked everything up according to the instruction and all I get is a brightly lit LCD panel.

Does the RepRapDiscount need to be flashed with a firmware of some kind? Does someone have a nice step by step they would be willing to share?

Hello all.

User error! 2 in fact!

  1. Flash of newest firmware failed
  2. I had pasted the “required” settings near the top of the config file - the end of the config file set the panel to false :slight_smile:

All is working, a little flaky, but at least I can get my laptop out of the garage.

A little info - I purchased the cheapest RepRapDiscount Panel I could find of of eBay, and besides my own human factor, it worked flawlessly.
