Could use some help here.

Could use some help here. Now have stepper motors, power supply n driver board (crappy Chinese one 4 axis TB6560). Have yet to get any movement at all. 2 of the motors will hold tight when the board is powered ( I should say that 2 of the 4, 4 wire outputs of the board will hold motors tight. Having of course switched motor n ports to check. What I mean is you can’t turn them with your fingers. But motors connected to the Z n “C” (3&4) can be turned with your fingers. The board also has 4 led’s for the four axis, and only the first two have ever lit. Fresh install of XP on the new MB and of course MACH3. Even tried Linux for a minute or two before I wiped the HD (it had vista 64 bit, which is a no no with mach3).

No flashing led to indicate it’s getting a signal from Mach3?

@SV_Seeker There are 4 LED’s for the axis (which should be flashing from the vids I’ve seen). As you can see in the pic 2 are lit, and stay lit regardless of what I do ( the 2 above the 4 are for 5 n 12v indicator. Hopping I do have an issue with the parallel port. Maybe just a cable issue. (next video anytime soon?)

@Peter_Fouche1 These are 6 wire (only using 4 though as in bipolar). But you’re saying that if I short the wires, motor won’t turn?

and wired as a 3 axis… no onboard jumpers

Well hot damn, you guys at least led me in the right direction. Was going to bed when I posted this. I had the header cable plugged in backwards on the new motherboard (for the parallel port)… lol

Running like a top now… Thanks ;D
