Could we have LaserWeb in mm/sec? Honestly it’s much easier to visualize in my head. 60mm, I know about how long that is. 1 second…same thing. I can’t really think in minute-long increments, and 3200mm; I just can’t really visualize how long that is in my head. I’ve been accustomed to mm/s for 8+ years in the 3D printing field, so I intuitively know 60mm/s, 90mm/s, 120mm/s, etc. mm/min? No…damn…clue.
Yea. I spend a lot of time with the calculator open
Is the laser cut industry on mm/s or mm/m
All the Chinese lasers I’ve used are mm/s. The epilog/Universal’s of the world are a % of max speed. Which is an even less comprehensible number but they also come with speed/power tables for materials on a given machine so it’s less guesswork.
Yeah agree % percentage doesn’t do anything for us.
It could be possible to have an option to choose what format you want to display (mm/m or mm/s).
@Yuusuf_Sallahuddin_Y ; given how many commits and places that have had to be changed - it’s probably going to be a big thing to tackle.
@ThantiK Yeah, I’d imagine so. I had a look through the code recently & it was way over my head. I could barely even work out how to use github haha.
@Yuusuf_Sallahuddin_Y , I’m only starting to learn it - I had to print myself a cheat sheet.
@ThantiK Is that for the code or for github? If for github, would you care to share the cheat sheet to make life a bit easier for me? Cheers.
