Created a 3D printed wave lamp with FastLED on WS2812 LEDs and an ESP8266. Right now it’s simply running the fire palette sketch with party colours as the palette.
Final intent is to create a world mood lamp using the wefeel service API.

My experience say, that flickering or fast changing patterns have a very low WAF. Get something smooth like some slow changing noise patterns or take Marks ColorWaves and slow it down a little.

@Thomas_Runge I had to google WAF. I’m assuming you mean wife acceptance factor :-). Agreed - this was just a test animation. I’m thinking of using this as a world mood lamp and maybe add in some notifications via mqtt / ifttt
