Cubes! Several failures between red and grey, but with the change to a better PLA, we get a better output.

After a whopping 52 hours of printing, we present to you… two slightly imperfect but beautiful cubes

Know what you mean about variances between filaments. My ebay sourced material from one seller has been great but a spool I bought from a local shop produces mediocre results. So much so, I dread reaching for it.

@Tim_Sills Read something yesterday about air holes in some poor quality filament. Apparently it makes it explode a little which jams and stops extrusion. The poster had sliced it open cleanly and on inspection discovered very tiny holes!

what filament maker did you buy from for the good cube?

A company called 3DFilaPrint. Been very good with their filament knowledge.

Just to confirm, same setting and feeds on both?

@Jo_Bigger the explosions are moisture some use the oven or desiccants and a fan to fix this

@Eclsnowman all the same settings, even the same g-code

not too perfect!! D Rob right ! I used a good heat sink and a cooling fan installed in the injector head.
