@Dat_Chu did you find some scrap aluminum yet to make your spindle mount?
@Alex_Lee is looking for something to mount his mammoth spindle and was curious if there was a way to integrate?

I haven’t found scrap aluminum but I found my 10" polycarbonate bar. Would that do? It is millable, strong and rather light.
@Alex_Lee that is an awesome idea. They were part of my learning curve
get you started, but they are not perfect! You may end up with a set of uh oh plates too…
@Dat_Chu we got to get you cutting man!
Haha. You know, this maybe kind of a fun idea. A new member joins, they get all their metal and electronics, the last member that built an OX has to donate a set of plates to the new member. Man I don’t know that we could be anymore share and share alike than that! What do you think?
I think these are all awesome ideas. I like the idea of giving it forward a lot. I am sure where I graduate from my current build I would be glad to donate it to the next member to help him/her started.
@Alex_Lee , can you refer me to the video of Mark using such material?
PC bar is tougher than wood but not as good as aluminum. I think it would work as my first bootstrap plate. @Brandon_Satterfield , maybe some time this weekend?
@Brandon_Satterfield is graciously helping me cut my missing parts, then I will be ready to cut.
@Alex_Lee I thought those plates that Mark had was aluminum powder coated black.
