Dat Sound.
You know the one, where the motors are quiet, the bowden isn’t slipping, the printer’s laying down the first layer and not catching the nozzle on the pre-extruded plastic, then it’s making the second pass…it’s a vibration like rubbing over a textured surface. Where everything just sounds right.
Yeah, that sound. My printer’s making it.
After what you have endured it must be a very sweet sound !
Mwahaha
That must be a very satisfying experience. That’s what I love this hobby for - satisfying experiences. Rarely in my grownup life have I had to fight with some problem for so long that solutions come as a surprise and yeah, then you just sit and watch…
Keep with it, @Daniel_Young , there are a lot of variables, but it’s a finite list. The Pic above is the raft and support for the Celtic Skull that’s been plaguing me… 0.1mm layers, 1:1 scale, 190C PLA. Repetier thinks it’ll take 7 hours, which makes me think more like 10-12…and I’m not optimistic it’ll go 100%, but it sure feels like it could.
Bite the bullet and wire it to always-on 12v…my issues cleared up when I realized they knew what they were talking about.
