Delta printer ball joints have been a repeating topic the past few days, so I decided to reshare my solution. I used balls from a dollar store magnetic construction toy. I filed them a bit to break the surface, and glued to hex head bolts using metal grade epoxy. When gluing, I stand the bolt on a harddrive magnet, and the ball gets ‘sucked’ to the exact center of the bolt. The result is very strong, and I was unable to break it by hand. It’s been working great so far.
