Developing new filament for FDM printers and investment casting.
Test results looking good.
What is it?
@Kevin_Danger_Powers , filament material.
We are aware it is filament material, that was stated in the original post. What he means is what TYPE of filament? Is it a hybrid of plastics? Are you attempting to create a new type of PET?
@Scott_Schnatzmeyer obvious response is obvious. Lol.
@Kevin_Danger_Powers it’s green
+Kevin Danger Powers, @Scott_Schnatzmeyer it is a type of wax.
@Paulo_Geraldes doesn’t wax have a really low melting point?
@Kevin_Danger_Powers yes but it’s not unprecedented. Wax is commonly used for investment casting.
Interesting tread so far, I’ll stay with you in line for an answer
@Kevin_Danger_Powers yes you are right. The print temperature for this material is about 100°C.

@Paulo_Geraldes that’s pretty low. Sounds like it would be pretty easy to print. I am curious to see what you can do with it. Have you had any issues with the extruder motor slipping or anything? What about filament breaking or bending?
@Kevin_Danger_Powers I was surprised of how easy it prints as well. We considered the mechanical properties of the filament as an important factor so that the filament could be used on a common FDM printer. Been testing for bed adhesion and warping… looking good.
Nice
