Did others get mail of a Korean asking to use your thingiverse designs on a Korean website? How to react?

I did. I´m no exepert on the licensing thing so please correct me if i´m wrong but my stuff is posted with a Creative Commons atribution license (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/) and so they would be allowed to “copy, distribute and transmit” the work as long as proper attribution is made. So then why ask? To be nice or is there something else?

I obtained 6 times same mail, so or thingiverse has a bug in their messaging system, or this is automated mail of this Korean people, which is most impolite as they make it seem you are ‘selected’ somehow.

Was thinking like you, if they keep the license, then they can do as they please as per the requirement of the license.

It’s probably an effort to make you aware of their site so that they can increase their traffic for their advertisers. :slight_smile:

I’m assuming it’s an honest (if unnecessary) request, so I gave them thumbs up, while reminding them to follow the rules of the license.
