I have a bunch of CT scans of my head/chest, etc. I should probably 3D print a spare body…

I don’t really see any instruction on how to export a 3D file, could you help me with this by pointing out a tutorial or instruction

Hi Kristof, it is a bit tricky the first time. The steps are: define a bounding box around the part of interest, preprocess the data (a contrast threshold basically), manually define initial spheres contained inside the desired 3D shape, running an iterative algorithm that expands and reshapes the spheres to fit the model, and finally exporting the 3D file. There is another video in my account that shows the iterative algorithm.

I definitely will try to print both the jaw and vertebrae from this CT scan, though they are quite challenging parts :stuck_out_tongue:
