Do anyone of you know if Simplify3D has a facility / Menu like Repetier Host , where you can see your EEPROM settings of your printer. You can also adjust them on the screen and don’t have to use Gcode to update the EEPROM, which is such a nice facility in Repetier Host.
far as i know, it does not.
I don’t see it in any of the screen shots. @william_foster
@Vaughan_Lundin “it does not”
Thanks @william_foster , do you know where and under what menu it reflects the EEPROM settings ? Thanks
I don’t know of any such feature in S3D.
Thanks Guys, Its a real pity. It would be a nice feature to have. Its real help in Repetier Host.
I didn’t know Repetier had such a panel. It sounds nice, though I think maybe only necessary for tuning the machine. So I would fire up Repetier for tuning then switch.
If you have a graphic display on your printer you can do it from there, or at least in marlin which I run.
Yip will use Repetier host.
I did add the large screen but could hardly see the writing. Tried turning the POD up or down but it did not help, so removed it.
Actually enjoy running the printer from the Laptop.
I used to do it and still have my 1st printer on the laptop. I do like the info you get and having repetier send updates to my phone is nice. But if I’m honest I prefer the layout of pronterface. But after the last time my print failed due to a update reboot I switched to sd and display for printing and now I honestly don’t miss running from a laptop at all. I also had a odd thing happen once my one machine was run from a netbook and while printing I had repetier open showing the layers. The extra processing caused the print to have so much noise and when inclosed it it smoothed out completely. It was one of the Christmas baubles shared last year by makerbot. The end result was it looked like it had snow on.
I think the EEPROM settings in Repetier-Host is a firmware dependent setting. So it only works with Repetier firmware.
@John-Paul_Hopman
no repetier will write its settings to marlin firmware also.
