Do you guys know what is causing this? I am using abs with default print settings and a heated bed.
That’s a Da Vinci 1.0…the bed is enclosed. Recalibrate the bed, and make sure to add washable gluestick to the print area…be generous.
Can you describe the problem or send a video of the first few layers. Can’t tell if it’s a problem with first layer adhesion in which case 80C bed temp plus purple elmers glue stick will solve your problems. Or if it’s a problem with layers not sticking together.
Also, if using the XYZware slicer make sure to add glue to the small area on the right side of the print bed or that test bead will get nabbed and go into the first layer.
Hard to say, might be a geometry or slicer problem? A video would be more helpful. I had a davinci 1.0 for a couple of years and never saw anything like this. Plenty of bed adhesion problems, but this looks like something bad happened a few mm into the print.
