Do you think this even possible to 3D print with FFF?

Do you think this even possible to 3D print with FFF?

not if you want the bearing to turn. the structure is most certainly printable

Yes, with dissolvable supports.

yes, i want all the balls and bearing cases to turn

It wouldn’t be hard to just try one set of a flat and a standing. If it works there is no reason dozens wouldn’t work.

To hell with it, I’m going to give the printer a work out! It thought it was going to get Christmas off.

Only with disolvable supports I think, even the UP!s miracle Snap away supports would struggle here I think, particularly with the bearings oriented vertically. You’ll spend all Christmas cutting away the supports! Good luck though! Love to see you prove me wrong.

Even if you could print it without dissolving support structure, removing the support material would be such a big pain in the butt that a person would have to be nuts to try it.

I want to give this a try on my Up!2 as well. What file is this?

I’d also like to try it using HIPS and ABS with Ingentis/Kraken.

I for one don’t want to try it, y’all crazy

Tis the season to be crazy!

I’m going to have nightmares about picking support off this part and the part breaking right towards the end

The impossible print has begun … 29hrs and 40mins print time!

If anything can, the up/afinia you are using would be it.

No matter how this turns out you must share what happened

Sure will share the results tomorrow

well maybe not tomorrow it may take a while lol

we did something similar with an EOS P800 and it worked handsomely.

Updates of it are here https://plus.google.com/116563919706397479378/posts/HRsjEp2QuTY
