does any one have an opinion about the
XYZprinting da Vinci 1.0 Pro. ?
I have a strong opinion about proprietary filament
and There’s the China-made versus American-made thing.
Grain of salt here

I have the 2.0 Due, it is ok but the proprietary filament annoys. Also, what annoys is how the extruder disassembles for cleaning
You didnt give any opinion
Can I +200000 your comment @Brook_Drumm ?
And the pro can use any filaments
And i am not from usa so idont care about that
From the US or not, I don’t see the need for proprietary filament. But I’m sure there are hacks for it. The last time I saw one printing I was greatly dissapointed. I would look at the Printrbot Play.
Last I read they did a firmware update that if you reload a filament container it brocks the printer, so I stay far away.
Even though they are in China, their online support has been responsive. But I don’t like that when the extruder gets clogged u have to snip zip ties and unplug stuff to clean it. My right extruder is clogged and i plan to see if a blast from an aircan will work before I start taking stuff apart. My SD3 would clog and I would shoot the gear with air and clear it in a heartbeat. The Duo should have been that way. Not sure how the Pro is set up.
I don’t think I’ve actually ever heard anything positive said about the da Vinci line. Other than it’s cheap, anyway.
Mine works ok for some designs, badly for others. Yes it’s cheap, the software is bloated but I have it running on S3D and it’s, well, ok. Again I have the Duo and it’s yuuuuuge!
I saw a print from this printer, and the person posted it on thingiverse. Someone commented “What did you print this with, a potato?”
