I really dislike all the stuff that disappeared from thingiverse when the great purge of 2012 happened. Really wish people would have just moved it elsewhere, and linked it from thingiverse. It became quite hard to find some old files I had wanted to print at the time.
Out of curriousity, does Youmagazine sensor content? i am asking because i would like to recommend things to teachers, but i don’t want to be asked “why is this full of dildos” that is one reason why i have recommended thingiverse (it is more patrolled for non pg content.)
@Tony_Buser Why isn’t there a way for people to delete their accounts from Thingiverse? The average Joe wouldn’t think to email tbuser to get it done.
Well, the worrying part here is that when Makerbot doesn’t even comply to that dead-simple portion of their TOS, you can’t really rely on them understanding and respecting the rest of it.
@kongorilla It was an oversight, somehow the delete button got lost in a recent redesign. It will be back soon. Otherwise, the best way to request that your account be deleted is to goto the Contact Us link at bottom of thingiverse at http://support.thingiverse.com/discussion/new I’m trying to figure out how Thomas’ request got delayed, I only was told of the request to delete his account on Friday and I deleted right away. Sorry it took so long.
I had written a delete request a while back, the one this Friday was only a retry.
