Does anyone have a good solution for an E3D on an ordbot?

Does anyone have a good solution for an E3D on an ordbot? A bowden mount would probably be the best as i have a decent feeder. Problem is i would need something that would work with PLA or Colorfabb XT as the ordbot itself isn’t working currently and the only ABS printer i have.

Any idea? I’d have a Bulldog extruder but the E3D doesn’t fit in there without trouble…: :frowning:

Thanks, @Tim_Elmore - unfortunately those guys seem to be in the US (they don’t seem to tell clearly) and i’m in germany. Ordering just one piece from there would probably be bad on the cost side. Though this piece looks nice.

“those guys” are me. International shipping is $12. If that is unsuitable, there’s some less elegant options detailed here:

oh sorry, @Tim_Elmore - didn’t mean to attack you in any way - hope you don’t feel to be attacked. $12 is quite resonable.

Maybe i will just order that and hope it’ll arrive soon - it’s definitely an elegant solution.

Didn’t feel attacked at all! Was just clarifying. :slight_smile:

you got me with that cnc porn video on your site :slight_smile:

Could my Bondtech Extruder be a good match for you?

i’ve already seen it and i’m excited. for a spontanous buy it is a bit expensive unfortunately and for a quick solution shipping takes quite some time from Sweden I think. but anyways a great piece. will think about putting one on the new printer as a Bowden when it’s ready.

Complete units are in stock during next week, I ship with FedEx so I guess 2 days to Germany. You are more than welcome when your new printer is ready @Helmi

@Tim_Elmore Any mounts to fit the new E3D lite6? Didn’t realise there were clearance issues due to the extra height of the ptfe tube locking mexh.

@Chengster_N Lite6 and v6 have identical mounts.

Yes they do, but the PTFE liner locking mechanism at the top (the same bowden coupler for the V6) means there is no longer enough clearance between the bottom of the bulldog plate and the top of the built up hot end.

I helped myself and released some files here: https://plus.google.com/+FrankHelmschrott/posts/LuyybAVwsgF

Looks very nice. I would suggest some form of clip at the back to hold the cables in place?
