I have experience with CF work. Carbon Fiber tow is relatively inexpensive, and if used in such a sparing manner, can be pretty cheap to incorporate. Unfortunately, this is a highly labor intensive way of incorporating CF into 3d printed parts… (p.s. the guy who did the video needs to move the mic away from his mouth… talk about heavy breathing… lol).

If you print these out of ABS I would use an epoxy resin system. A polyester/vinylester system (like what you can typically buy for body work) will probably dissolve ABS. Carbon fiber tow can be bought on ebay for very low prices at times. As previously mentioned such a little amount is used here that a few assemblies would be very cheap but sometimes finding such small quantities of tow can be difficult.
What metal is that? Aluminum? How thick are the tube walls?
