@Marco_Agas primarily reliability and versatility.

@Jacob_Bridenbecker_W I’d say check out the link I shared. They using an industrial screw, which not many extruders come with.

I’ve looked into them but decided not to because my requirements regarding filament perfectly consistent properties have increased quite a lot as my layer height got down.

@Marcus_Wolschon what has been your layer height so far?

@Marco_Agas 100 micron for technical parts, 40 micron for low resolution models, 20 micron for high resolution ones. Sometimes small models at 15 micron but that’s at the lower limit of how slow the extruder can move the filament.
