Does anyone know how to "remove" these little blobs?

Does anyone know how to “remove” these little blobs? I’ve noticed that the main issue is retraction, however I’ve reduced it to 0.5mm and there is no improvement. I’m using full metal hot end. It is abs melted in 235st C with calibrated PID and steps per mm.

Acetone vapour perhaps

The lines are a result of over extrusion at the start of the perimeter layer due the nozzle being slightly over primed (due to ooze or back pressure from the previous layer? ) , increasing your retraction rather than decreasing it should help. This problem just went away when I moved from slic3r to kisslicer btw.

I’ve heard that kisslicer is much better than Slic3r in this matter. I will try increase retraction next time. That blobs are nightmare!

A cheap dremel would be good for sanding.

sand it

hmm, I would try increasing acceleration and/or tightening the axes - maybe those the lines are little off because the axes don’t make exact moves.

Also, maybe you’ll have some luck with the 'jerk" parameters - they define how the printer performs on arches.

Did you try to devrease the E feedrate a little bit? Seems like there is a slight surplus in plastic…

Blobs are my only matter, other things are caused by high speed.

For retraction, suggest to 2.5mm, and use 0.4mm nozzle, with Cura for slicing. Also the speed for printing finger should be low. Can adjust it with LCD control pannel.

I use raspberryPI host. And I’m also using 0.4mm nozzle.

You’re sure you need 3 perimeters?

I’m pretty darn sure. Check this out, the same settings, retraction set to 2mm https://plus.google.com/u/0/photos/114419856911824933162/albums/5933020303222962705
