Does anyone know of an easy to use CAD, modeling solution for young children?

Does anyone know of an easy to use CAD, modeling solution for young children? Like I looked at Blokify but it… can’t do organic shapes. Paid, or FOSS both work.

Kids pick up TinkerCAD faster than adults do. For more organic things, you might look at Morphi.

Have you seen this program/app:

Pretty basic, simple to use, definitely child level graphics.

Please be more specific about “Young” can they read? Perhaps SketchUp is for them? Try to get the Google v7 of it, it’s very child and 3D printer friendly, and robus enough to design complex ideas.

Window’s 10 ships with 3D Builder (and looks like it’s a download for older version):

I don’t vouch for it, but it is a thing.

+1 for Tinkercad for kids, probably your best/easiest bet.

Sculptris is like Zbrush lite (+free): I could see a kid using it:

This is a stretch/tangent, but if you have VR, Google Blocks (free) would probably fill the need:

Or Oculus medium (not free):

Tiltbrush (not free) is cool, but doesn’t really output 3d-printable friendly mesh. It will output mesh, but needs significant cleanup:

Personally, I like http://tinkercad.com . My 11yo daughter has been able to make some interesting designs with it.

If they are interested in organic sculpting, I’d say look at the new Zbrushcore. It’s a streamlined version of Zbrush.
Only $150 or $200 when bundled with a wacom tablet.

For sculpting, Blender. It’s free and amazing. It also has the ability to do generic surface editing, and take measurements, as well as a 3D printing toolkit.

http://Vectary.com – all in desktop browser window, no installation.

You can also try glise, it is a volumetric modeller and looks easy at least.
