Does anyone know some sort of "showcasing platform" for 3D-Scans?

Does anyone know some sort of “showcasing platform” for 3D-Scans? Think of like what is youtube for videos, or thingiverse for STL-Files. Is there something like this for pointclouds or meshes?

A number of the ‘things’ on Thingiverse are 3D scans (in STL format) that were not cleaned up nearly well enough. :frowning: Hopefully, someone with enough experience in dealing with dirty scans helps them smooth their meshes out.

I think at least point clouds are too project specific and often get meshed so its more of a in between step that noone puts in a library for further use.

My guess is that if you want the actual point cloud, you can ask someone on Thingiverse for the point cloud that they made their STL file from.

I know 123d is for scans, let me know if i am right.

@Eclsnowman Yeah, that pretty much is what I was looking for. Thank you!

@Rene_Jurack glad to help.

MyMiniFactory has the section “scan the world” you can try there also.
