LoL I was watching the videos and the second video ended with the heated bed with the wires up showing and glass on top, I might be wrong but should the wires be underneath? Doing that way would cause a gap which isn’t good and if your using a aluminum build plate, it would go “zippity zappity zip zip.” lol

Do I have to paint it? I’d rather keep it looking like the steel frame it is.

If you dont want, you dont have to.
But if you use iron, you should paint it, otherwise your frame will rust. Or you can use stainless steel, that way you dont have to paint
