Does somebody has experience with 3dprinting your own diffuser (for 5050 ws2812). What kind of filament is diffusing the best ?
I have clear filament and translucent green (ugly!!) at my disposal but
unfortunately my ultimaker 3d printer is currently out of order.

Ive tested clear and white and forsure white works better.

I have seen examples of white ninjaflex on adafruit, but it’s pretty expensive.

I use natural ABS (gives the light a warmer tint) and clear PLA. Clear PLA doesn’t diffuse as much as refract, so I will sand it or otherwise scuff it to make it more diffuse.

Tnx for the advices.
I don’t have (yet) a heated bed => Abs not really an option.
Will try to fix the printer this weekend (bowden tube issue) and try the sanded clear pla option. (Is there much difference between clear PLA & Natural PLA?)

I use Natural PLA for diffusing my LED, and i love that as my go to Material. I should get some more to keep in stock. I am working on getting my printrbot simple to accept NinjaFlex, that should work better. But stick to light /white color
