Dragon printed at .2 using White filament on my Replicator 2, no cleanup.
Totally have that same keyboard sitting on my porch. (Spill resistant, EZ-to-see, bright yellow keys).
Also, I’m curious as to how that might look if one ordered it off a 3d printing service that offers non-plastic options. Like seeing this thing in metal or ceramic, or (don’t know if this is possible currently) some form of glass/quartz.
I had trouble with the overhang on the chest, too. I have never been able to do small detailed parts well on My Kossel-mini variant. Likely more to do with the hot-end and Bowden system than the rest of the printer. It does better than anybody else at my Hackerspace with larger, curved lines and clean repeatability. Just has trouble with those little starts and stops.
@Sean_Johnson Most 3D printing sites have pretty wide safety margins to ensure a greater chance of a successful print. I did think about putting Aria up there, but she has too many thin edges and small parts and would no doubt be rejected for most materials. She was just really an experiment for me to see how using rigging would effect my work and to produce reasonable results on a calibrated domestic printer.
I would need to make a “Shapeways friendly” resculpt:-) That said, @Noe_Ruiz got some pretty amazing results with Copperfill - so if you want the shiny then perhaps that is an option:-)
