Drove my rc in the (wet) dirt today, and after a short time the spur and pinion where completely destroyed from the build-up of dirt on the gears. That area is a great trap for dirt, rocks and so on so I made a small gear-cover for it that keeps the dirt out. Second run with cover went a lot better. Cover is uploaded to thingiverse.
I’ve uploaded a few video’s to youtube. I am still amazed at how well it handles rough terrain on high speed. It just flies over the bumps. 
im not quite sure how and where the cover goes.

I don’t have pictures of it fitted, but it’s located right behind the steering servo and in front of the pinion.
