Due to expensive custom taxes, I decide to build the same printer offered at aliexpress, thicker acrylic, reinforced structure and a lot more cheaper than buying a kit (I happens to own a trulaser for laser cutting)
Nice! You probably learned a lot more and used better quality parts too!
Looking good
Parts list?
@Joseph_Ronie Just the standard prusa parts, except for the inductive sensor, opto endstops, and Igus clip bearings(also couple of reinforcements printed parts)it’s basically the same as the china models, but more rigid build and less expensive than ordering one from china (assuming access to a laser cut is nearby)
@Griffin_Paquette Yes, And a whole lot more…failed miserably a few times (turns out I need some clearance to laser cut acrylic) everything is 90 degrees angled (to few mm tolerance), and if I decide to build it with accuracy, then everything must be precise (to the micro meter) I can’t have non accurate parts (as in lm8uu) if I expect accuracy and precision, though this is just a proof of concept, so everything isn’t as accurate as it suppose to be…but it’s fun doing it
@Vaughan_Lundin Thanks
