Dumb question: does anyone know what happens if the replicator 2 runs out of

Dumb question: does anyone know what happens if the replicator 2 runs out of filament mid-print? Does it stop? Does it keep going empty? Does this cause damage?

Just curious in case I left the printer printing something for a long while unattended.

It’ll just pretend it’s extruding filament into the air. Had this happen quite a few times, nothing bad ever happened.

Thanks. That’s what I figured. I just didn’t want to find out it overheats and catches fire or something crazy.

@Paul_Donovan Nah. It will not overheat in any dangerous way - there’s an actual temperature sensor in the hot end of pretty much any FFF printer.
